Visier's Vee, a generative AI digital assistant for analytics, now integrates with Copilot, serves up HR best practices, and more.

Vee, Visier’s generative AI digital assistant, lets anyone in an organization ask questions about people, work, and their impact on productivity and receive immediate, accurate, and secure answers.

We’ve received an overwhelmingly positive response to Vee since we introduced it. It’s now in use by millions of users and has been recognized as top product of the year by HR Executive. All of this has inspired us to expand what it can do even further.

Today, we’re announcing some upcoming enhancements under the banner of two exciting themes: Vee can answer an even broader range of questions, and it can do that within more of the tools you use in your daily workflow.

In this post, we’ll break down the latest batch of product updates coming soon to Vee.

Vee is the genAI assistant for all things people-related

Vee has always been able to answer questions based on your organization’s data—specifically, its data about people and work. Anyone can use Vee to explore data through text, charts, and dashboards that are tailored to their specific access level and security permissions. This is the Vee millions of users already know and love. Soon, Vee will also be able to answer questions based on two additional data sources.

The first one is your organization’s internal knowledge. Administrators will have the ability to load documents into Vee. These could be internal policies, guidelines, benefit information, or any other document you may want employees to be able to access via Vee.

The second is HR best practices. We are working on the ability for Vee to serve up relevant best practices and tools on topics like hiring, onboarding, and performance management, either through your own knowledge base or external sources such as Galileo™ from The Josh Bersin Company, RedThread Research, or any other third-party research library

With these enhancements, Vee can be an even more powerful tool for guiding anyone toward the right facts, the right internal knowledge, and the right course of action.

Consider this scenario: Alex, a team leader, is worried about Logan, a top performer who might be considering resigning. Alex asks Vee to show her the overtime hours logged by her direct reports over the past month and sees that Logan has been working an unusual number of extra hours.

Next, she can ask Vee questions about company policies, such as “What are our company's policies around overtime?”. Vee will answer the question with an excerpt from her company’s overtime policy and provide a link to read the full document. With this context in hand, Alex can get a clear understanding of how to approach Logan in alignment with her organization’s guidelines.

But, before she books a chat with Logan, Alex is looking for guidance and best practices on how to approach this sensitive conversation effectively. She can once again turn to Vee, which will serve up relevant HR best practices for a “stay conversation” based on a knowledge base her company has endorsed. Now, Alex has all of the information and insights to make informed decisions and confidently have a conversation with Logan.

“The immediate value of Vee is that it will empower members of our organization to effortlessly and instantaneously address questions regarding their workforce.”

-Ellen Gentile, HR Analytics Manager, Ascension

Vee is everywhere work happens

Next, let’s look at the exciting new ways Vee will be available in everyone’s flow of work.

Vee is already available in a web browser within Visier, as well as integrated with Microsoft Teams, so you can chat with Vee just as you would with a colleague—on desktop, web, iPhone, Android, or iPad.

Soon we’ll be adding an integration with Microsoft Copilot. Copilot, Microsoft’s AI assistant, is available on the sidebar of all the familiar Office applications such as Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and more. With this integration, you’ll be able to ask a Copilot a question about people and get an answer provided by Vee—all without leaving the email, document, or spreadsheet you’re working on!

Imagine you’re writing an email to a fellow team leader about high performers who you believe may be at risk of quitting, and you’d like to quickly find out the latest resignation trends for your company. Thanks to the Vee integration with Copilot, that answer will be instantly available without even switching apps.

“Vee is the future. It’s a technology that we absolutely need. It’s a game changer for the less tech-savvy to access people insights, like frontline managers who can ask a simple question in Microsoft Teams about their turnover and get an immediate answer instead of coming to the people analytics team.”

-Sameer Raut, Vice President, HRIS, Sunstate Equipment

Where should Vee integrate next? That’s up to you! We’re working on the ability for Vee to integrate with your internal tools via API. For example: many of our enterprise customers use intranets, SharePoint sites, or other internal hubs. These are often the places where managers and employees turn for HR-related information, so it makes perfect sense to enable Vee to be embedded there.

Many companies also build and deploy internal multipurpose chatbots as part of their IT consolidation strategies. Instead of asking employees to become familiar with various vendors’ chatbots that each do something different, these companies prefer to have a single one that federates with multiple services. This is another great example of where Vee can be integrated via API. This way, ColaCo employees can ask a single chatbot (let’s call it “Pop-Bot”) questions about their company directory, IT support, and now, people.

With these enhancements, we’re making big strides toward our goal of making Vee accessible anywhere work gets done.

Vee increases access to people insights

Vee helps leaders get instant answers to their people-related questions. With these enhancements, Vee can deliver answers to an even wider range of questions, drawing from internal documents and HR best practices in addition to organizational data.

By integrating with tools like Microsoft Copilot and offering custom API options, Vee quickly answers questions directly in the flow of work. Users can now get quick answers to workforce questions without switching between applications, streamlining decision-making. Vee makes people analytics conversational and self-serve, so users across the organization—from employees to people managers to CHROs—can make data-driven decisions that directly impact business outcomes.
