Introduction

Visier People® Workforce CSRD helps organizations meet their non-financial disclosure obligations with respect to human capital and workforce policies as part of the European Union’s Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD).

We’ve identified the workforce disclosure requirements arising from the European Sustainability Reporting Standard (ESRS) “S1 Own Workforce” specification(s) and assembled them into a single comprehensive offering. Spanning a variety of topics such as diversity, fair compensation, health and safety, and worker dialogue, Workforce CSRD consolidates all these metrics into a single application so you can review and diagnose the workforce metrics that will imminently become public record.

  • Employee Characteristics: The total number of employees and full-time equivalents (FTE) with breakdowns by gender, region, and employment type. The number and rate of employee turnover.

  • Non-Employee Worker Characteristics: The total number of non-employee workers in the workforce.

  • Collective Bargaining and Social Dialogue: The percentage of employees covered by collective bargaining and worker representation, with breakdowns by country.

  • Diversity: Distribution of employees by gender and age.

  • Adequate Wages: The percentage of employees paid below the adequate wage with breakdowns by employment type.

  • Social Protection: The percentage of employees ineligible for social protection with breakdowns by country.

  • Persons with Disabilities: The percentage of employees with disabilities.

  • Training and Skills Development: The percentage of employees that participated in performance reviews, and the average number of training hours per person with breakdowns by gender and employment type.

  • Health and Safety: The percentage of employees covered by the safety management system. The number and frequency of work-related fatalities, injuries, and illnesses.

  • Work-Life Balance: The number and percentage of employees who are eligible for and took family leave, with breakdowns by gender.

  • Compensation: The gender pay gap, and the ratio of compensation between the highest earner and the median earner.

  • Incidents, Complaints, and Severe Human Rights Impacts: The number of incidents of discrimination, harassment, and other human rights matters, and the amount of fines as a result of violations.

To access this value, you will be required to provide us with appropriate data from a source system. This is a one-time process and Visier will set up recurring loads. Below is an overview of the activities involved:

  • Visier will provide guidance on the data/file required to achieve the desired value.

  • Visier will help you load your data into the Visier application. Extraction of the main Human Resources Information System (HRIS) will be done manually or with a connector.

  • Configure security so you can share insights securely with a whole audience of people. Resources and materials are provided to enable you to build a security implementation that suits your organization.

  • Configuration of an automated data load schedule used for regular updates to your Visier People data. As a best practice, we suggest refreshing the data on a daily basis so users can always access the latest data.

  • Visier provides coaching for your rollout and change management plans to ensure a successful implementation and end-user adoption.

Below is a list of data elements required to access the value described in the previous section:

Employee Profile
Includes diversity and demographics, employee performance rating, employment characteristics, and organizational structure. It is the foundation on which most people analytics are built. This data will be necessary to light up all the values mentioned in the previous section as it gives you access to headcount and the core demographics.

Employee Exit
Includes insights about who is leaving the organization and their reasons for leaving so you can adjust your retention strategy and avoid high costs of replacement and productivity disruption.

Compensation Payout
Includes the monetary and hourly amounts paid to employees through the payroll process. This data is used to measure adequate pay, gender pay gaps, and pay distribution.

Safety Incident and Time Lost
Includes insights about the number and frequency of workplace-related injuries and illnesses experienced by employees.

Employee Cases
Includes the record of all employee complaints and grievances about harassment, discrimination, and other human rights violations. Includes case outcomes, records of escalations, and any fines if applicable.

Training Hours
Includes the aggregate amounts of training by location across the organization, which is then allocated across employees as a measure of your organization’s investment in employee training and development.
